CIB Capital Partners is a Southern California based Commercial Real Estate Development firm focused on value add commercial properties in the Western United States. Our core focus is in $10M-$50M properties with in place cashflow that have been underutilized, mismanaged, or simple require a reposition to adapt to changing market conditions. In pursuing deals based on size and location we are able to be creative with our approach to repositioning assets across multiple asset classes. We find ourselves spending much of our time in the industrial sector, however we have successfully executed several repositions in the storage, light industrial, multi tenant industrial, office park, and even retail.

Our team brings together diverse expertise across finance, accounting, development, brokerage, capital markets, and property management. Our founders collectively possess more than 50 years of hands-on experience applying these disciplines to source, structure, and manage high-quality real estate and investment opportunities.With this integrated skill set we combine rigorous financial analysis, disciplined accounting practices, development know-how, market-savvy brokerage, capital markets execution, and operational property management to create value at every stage of the asset lifecycle. We have spent years developing proven and repeatable processes for underwriting, capital formation, due diligence, construction oversight, leasing strategies, and asset disposition.


Raised in South Africa and London, Mike brings a global perspective and a disciplined approach to commercial real estate development.

He attended boarding school in Switzerland and the United Kingdom before relocating to New York, where he earned an MBA in International Business Administration from Long Island University in 2009.

Mike began his career at a private equity firm in La Jolla, California, where he developed a strong foundation in investment analysis, underwriting, and capital structuring across a range of asset classes. During this time, he gained experience working with institutional and private capital sources, supporting transaction execution and building a nuanced understanding of risk assessment and return optimization.

He has more than seven years of commercial real estate experience, with a focus on industrial development and value-add opportunities. His background spans the full lifecycle of development and investment execution, including site selection, acquisition underwriting, entitlement coordination, design oversight, and project execution. Mike has experience in building and analyzing financial models, evaluating deal viability, and structuring investments to align with capital partner objectives. He has been actively involved in a variety of industrial product types, including large-scale distribution facilities, small-bay industrial, self-storage, and industrial outdoor storage, gaining hands-on experience navigating municipal processes, optimizing site layouts, and aligning development strategies with market demand. His work has also included supporting the entitlement, repositioning, and disposition of both industrial and retail-oriented assets, providing a well-rounded perspective on asset performance, investor considerations, and exit strategies.

Mike later co-founded CIB Capital Partners with two business partners. He continues to source, underwrite, and structure industrial real estate investments across key Western U.S. markets, while maintaining strong relationships with capital partners and leveraging deep experience in development, capital markets, and deal execution.

Head of Capital Markets A senior finance professional specializing in sourcing debt and equity for both institutional and small-cap transactions. He structures capital stacks, negotiates with lenders and equity partners, and secures financing solutions tailored to each asset’s risk profile and return objectives. His expertise spans acquisition and construction financing, mezzanine and preferred equity, and investor relations. He brings rigorous underwriting standards, deep lender and investor relationships, and a hands-on approach to optimizing capital efficiency.


Brandon was raised in Seattle, spent his university years in the Bay Area, and later relocated to Los Angeles, continuing his West Coast pilgrimage further south. Alongside co-founding CIB Capital Partners, he is the founder and managing partner of Semper Equity, a diversified investment and development platform headquartered in Beverly Hills.

His deep experience across core West Coast markets is reinforced by extensive relationships with debt and equity providers as well as diverse deal sources. He specializes in identifying unique opportunities, unlocking value, and executing complex transactions with precision.

Prior to his career in commercial real estate, he worked with Bay Area high‑tech venture capital funds in an auditing capacity.

Our Director is spearheading the Property Management Division of CIB Capital Partners. Under his leadership, CIB is positioned to offer a full-service platform that serves both clients and investors with a comprehensive suite of capabilities. The division’s integrated approach ensures that every property under management benefits from centralized expertise, disciplined processes, and aligned incentives—delivering operational efficiency, improved returns, and long-term asset preservation for clients and investors alike.
